A masterpost with a list of all the colors and links to their posts would be nice, maybe stickied so it's always on top. Tags are all well and good, but when you get secondaries and tertiaries up it's going to start being confusing - you'd potentially have to wade through a lot of posts to find the tangerine secondary masterpost, for example, and a link would solve that. When/if you start sorting by genes, it'd be useful to have the same thing for them, and if you go that far, maybe even for single/double/triple gened dragons.

It would also be nice to specify whether the example is male or female (sometimes genes - iridescent/shimmer in particular - do seem to display differently on each).

Instead of just posting the images as they come without any particular order other than being linked, it might also be nice to create sort of subheadings with comments - a top comment for Guardians and so forth, or even just specifying by gender there - and then replying to those comments with the examples rather than just posting in response to the original post. Genes could potentially be handled the same way, if you wanted to split subheadings from Eye Spots off into Basic dragons with Eye Spots, Tiger with Eye Spots, Gembond, etc.

I think it would also be nice to use the subject to specify what the colors are, like the submissions post is set up. The colors are listed right up there at the top and people just clicked them, sure, but it'd make things handier for someone who knew they wanted a Leaf primary but wanted to scroll through to see which secondary they preferred.

Finally, I really don't think that tertiary colors should be listed at all unless the gene is activated. There are a fair number that look like they're listed without being activated already, and it's only needless clutter in the tags, in addition to potentially being super frustrating for someone who was searching for examples of Jungle tertiaries, if half the collected dragons didn't even have them active. If people were looking to stud dragons it'd be different but because this is just an image library it's pretty useless to have the tag when we can't see what it looks like.

(all these colors pulled at random, ps, and pps thank you for doing this, it's an awesome project)

Exequte has some excellent ideas (and I think a masterpost is just about necessary - the tags are already very overwhelming!), but I'd just like to add - would you like some help with the actual sorting/listing/etc.? This is a lot of work for one person, and if you don't use this blog for anything else, you could give the password to a few people who could help. Or heck, start a wiki - that way multiple people could edit. I just really want to help, because I was thinking about doing something similar, but got overloaded with how hard it would be.

Yes! I totally, totally will! Either message me here or at ghost.nonnie@gmail.com to work something out.
